NanJing is a beautiful and ancient city, it was the capital of six dynasties in history, so there are many historical attractions here, such as Confucian Temple , ZhongShan Tomb and so on. Confucian Temple was originally constructed in the Song Dynasty. It was a great place for us to worship Confucius, who is the great educator and philosopher in the ancient. This temple suffered lots of damage in the wars, and reconstruction in 1976, But it still retains the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasty.
When you enter the temple, the figure of Confucius comes into your eyes , it’s the largest one in China. Many people come here to visit everyday. So it’s a little expensive to buy the souvenir. Out of the hall , you can see a big tree with many red ribands. Everyone can write their wishes and hopes on the riband and tie it on the tree. It’s looks very cool and beautiful.
In front of the temple is the QinHuai River. It is very beautiful and romantic while boating on river in evening, and people often take a walk on bank after meal. Now ,lots of shops ,snack bars, tea cafes and restaurants are around of the temple. It has been a business area now. What I most
want to say is that all kinds of snacks are available here , and I promise that everyone’s individual taste can be well fit for. I think it is the special part of food culture in NanJing. Besides, there is also a attraction called Jiangnan Gongyuan. It began in the Song Dynasty and developed to be the biggest examination school in China. Now visitors also have the opportunity to take the exam and enjoy the experience.
All in all, Confucian Temple is worthwhile to visit. Thank you !
